Big Fuel Goes Global For Advertising Week

Fall is, hands-down, my favorite season. Every summer, I count down the days until pumpkin spice lattes, cozy scarves, and brisk mornings, and colorful leaves. Fall is also conference season. Here at Big Fuel, we’ve got an unparalleled thirst for knowledge. We love meeting people from cool new tech startups, learning about groundbreaking digital initiatives, and meeting other creatives just like ourselves. That’s why we’re so pumped that next week is Advertising Week – and we’re participating in a big way.

Over the past couple of weeks, my fellow fuelers Tiana Rutledge, Erin Doyle, Luke Kingma, and Elisa Tan have been coaching not one, but two teams of high school students in preparation for the Advertising Futures competition. 23 teams of gifted high schoolers have been issued the challenge to create a print ad for Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign. Together with their mentors, the teams brainstormed and executed campaigns that would “change the culture of a generation – to make them think and act different about food and friends, eating and exercise.” The final presentations will take place at the Big Fuel NYC office on Wednesday, October 5th. Best of luck to all the teams involved, we’re thrilled to see what you’ve come up with!

Another reason we’re really excited about Advertising Week is because Big Fuel will be hosting a panel discussion on Thursday, October 6th, along with our friends from Google, Coca-Cola, Syncapse, and Crimson Hexagon. More details are below:
